Jordan and Anna met through their involvement in the Christian Ministry while away for college at the University of Oklahoma. Junior year Anna fell sick and had to move back home to California. Anna fought through cancer treatment with the support of her family and Jordan. They were engaged July 16th, 2017, after an elaborate scavenger hunt that her sister facilitated.
Anna got ready for her wedding at her parents’ home with her sister and bridesmaids, who were all in beautiful blush pink, mismatched dresses. Anna and Jordan’s venue was the stunning McCormick Home Ranch in Camarillo. They did not want a first look--she envisioned her groom seeing her for the first time at the altar. We helped to keep the guys on one side of the ranch, and the girls on the other.
There were so many special personal elements incorporated. Anna’s pastor growing up was able to officiate the ceremony, Jordan’s brother was the best man, Anna’s sister was the maid of honor, and Jordan’s step brother was the very talented videographer. Anna walked down the aisle, holding a bouquet that incorporated a Navy pendant, in honor of her brother, Josh, since he was deployed overseas.
Their reception was kicked off with their grand entrance and first dance, followed by dinner and toasts. Then, Anna’s younger brother in the Navy, Josh, had a surprise. Josh had recorded a video that we secretly strategized with her parents and Matt our fabulous DJ to play. She was completely shocked. It was an amazingly special and heartfelt moment for more than just Anna--all around, tears were shed. Anna and Jordan topped off the night with dancing, delicious cake and cupcakes, and finally, a gorgeous sparkler send off.
